About Me

I have been supporting birth since the age of 9, when I attended childbirth education classes with my mother.  My mother chose to have a family birth experience, and as I was present for my sister’s birth, I remember the awe and excitement I felt at being able to help with the miracle of a new person joining our family.  I have assisted and supported many births as a daughter, sister, friend, medical social worker, and doula.  It has been a beautiful experience every time.

I have a deep desire and calling to help and support women through pregnancy, birth, bonding and creating their new family.  As a mother of 5 I have experienced natural, epidural, and breech birth in a variety of settings.  I am a survivor of postpartum depression and understand the importance of addressing birth experiences in a loving and healing way.
I feel strongly that when you have a voice in your health experiences and physical and emotional healing, with assistance from caregivers, you will feel empowered to better care for yourself and your family.  As a military spouse I traveled and met many amazing people.  I have experienced the incredible strength of women, mothers, and friends supporting each other, and each other’s families, during times of stress and times of joy.

Between 2012 and 2023 I supported over 100 births in hospital, birth center, and home birth settings.  Every birth is a unique and wonderful experience.  You know what is best for you and your family, and I am honored to support you in serenity, peace, and a beautiful start.
